The Sharma Group begins with a family story. The son of immigrant parents, Sanjesh Sharma entered the mortgage business at nineteen — long before he had the letters after his name or the track record behind him. What he had was a work ethic and a belief that a home is worth fighting for.

That belief built a career. He began originating loans in 1990, bought his first rental properties soon after, and started flipping homes in 1994. By 2000 he had moved into ground-up construction, designing and building from the dirt up. Today, The Sharma Group has completed over 1,000 development projects and funded more than 7,000 mortgage loans for families and investors.

Through it all, the through line has been family. Sanjesh married his high school sweetheart, and together they raised three children: their daughter Bella, a pediatric nurse; their youngest son Jaden, who is studying business; and their oldest son Ashton, who now works alongside his father in the business.

Ashton has worked alongside his father for the last seven years. He brings a designer's eye to every project, reworking floor plans, selecting color palettes, and choosing the finishes and hardware that turn a renovation house into a home. As construction and project manager, he is the reason the finished work looks the way it does. For Sanjesh, there is nothing more rewarding than building something with his son.
